The Adaura Technologies AD-USB4APT5 series of digital programmable attenuators offers the best in class of performance, size, cost, and ease of programmability. The AD-USB4APT5 provides 0.05-6.00GHz 50 ohms operations in 0.5dB steps. Four independent channels can be controlled and powered via one single USB port thus greatly reducing test set up complexity. An easy to use GUI provides fixed attenuations as well as flexible ramp functions. Custom automation is easily accomplished via simple serial port commands on any Windows or Linux based PC. It can be adapted to any existing automatic test equipment with minimal effort.4 Channels in one compact housing
- USB/COM Interface for wide-range compatibility
- SMA Female connectors
- A single USB connection for power and control of all 4 channels
- Easy to use GUI providing fixed and ramp attenuation functions
Serial Over USB Communication
?allows extremely FAST integration into existing test setups. Using any common serial console program, simply connect to the device to send it commands.
The example to the left shows a ramping function being executed on the device using the common serial program PuTTY. The command controls all FOUR of the channels simultaneously. Two of the attenuator?s channels are ?Ascending? in attenuation from 0 to 5dB. At the same time, the other two channels are ?Descending? from 5dB to 0dB. This command is executed with 1dB step intervals and a dwell time of 25ms.
The AD-USB4APT5 is ideal for cellular, microwave radio, IoT, MU-MIMO, and WiFi MIMO engineering development and manufacturing test. This device offers high input and accurate step size. Each unit offers 4 channels of 63dB of attenuations in 0.5dB increments. Accessories include manual, GUI, programming guide, program examples on USB flash drive, along with a 5' USB Type A to B Cable. The unit is constructed in a robust compact housing with SMA female ports. Software drivers are not required for Linux machines. Simply connect to the unit like any serial device using common Linux tools such as Minicom.
